Position Description:
The Financial Analyst serves as a key support role to the Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing a wide range of financial and business decision support, with an emphasis on the General and Administrative (G&A) function of the business. This role reports into FP&A and the ideal candidate will possess an understanding of corporate finance, an analytical mindset, and the ability to think critically and curiously. Effective communication skills and cross-functional partnership are a critical component to this role to ensure analytics and storylines are translated to the business and senior leadership in a clear and concise manner. This role is based in Scottsdale, AZ however we offer a flexible working environment where team members can work from home and the office, upon manager approval.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Develop analyses that identify, evaluate, and communicate business results, trends, and outlooks. Leverage data, tools, and systems to determine the relevant data and present meaningful, concise information to various levels of leadership.
- Business Partner Support: Develop relationships with accounting, HR, operations and other business leaders to support strategic initiatives and to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Financial Modeling: Prepare comprehensive, adaptable financial models accounting for key inputs from business partners as well as consolidating and summarizing results for quarterly business reviews.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare analyses that identify, evaluate, and communicate business results, trends, and outlooks; perform sensitivity analyses to assess reasonable range of outcomes; leverage financial statements, tools, and systems to quickly access data and provide meaningful, concise information.
- Forecast and Budgeting: Perform and communicate monthly variance analysis to forecast and budget ensuring actionable and relevant insights are identified. Develop forecast models to be used in the monthly forecast. Facilitate the annual budgeting process for your components.
- Process Improvement: Continuously develop tools and models to automate processes. Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, Finance/Accounting or related area
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Corporate restaurant or retail industry experience a plus
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and experience summarizing data in various formats. Experience with Tableau, Workday, and/or Vena is a plus, but not required
- Genuine curiosity and passion for data, insights, and storytelling
- Confident yet humble and desire to continuously learn and remain open to expanding responsibilities
- Demonstrated understanding of business operations including ability to analyze and perform root cause analysis on business trends.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present results to audiences at various levels
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential and sensitive information
- Analytical and critical thinking skills

- Paid Time Off Program: Full-time Global Support Center team members receive at least 20 days per calendar year for sick and personal time off, based on years of service. The pools of these days off may vary based on states. R&R days are prorated based on date of hire for all new team members.
- Paid Holidays: All full-time and part-time Global Support Center team members will be compensated at their regular base pay for eleven (11) company chosen holidays to the extent the holiday falls on your regularly scheduled workday. Additionally, team members are granted an additional two (2) floating holidays to use as they wish (subject to supervisor’s approval).
- Lucky Cat Meal Card: We hope you are hungry! All Global Support Center team members are eligible for a Lucky Cat Card that is preloaded with a set dollar amount for each calendar year, and which can be used at any P.F. Chang’s location. Any unused monies are not eligible to be carried over at the end of the year.
- Tuition Reimbursement: All full-time Global Support Center team members that have been with PFCB for six months are eligible for the tuition reimbursement program. Upon department head approval, PFCB will reimburse up to $3,000 annually for undergraduate degrees and $30,000 for graduate degrees (entire program) for tuition expenses, books, and miscellaneous course costs for certain classes and/or courses of study at an accredited college or university.
- Insurance: Medical/Dental/Vision plan options available; eligibility for coverage begins the 1st of the month following date of hire
