Job Description
As a key member of the Management team, the Controller will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. This position will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, forecasting, strategic planning, payroll and budgeting.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The CFO will be responsible for establishing and implementing policy and procedures around the corporate financial structure. The position needs a self-directed and experienced controller to actively run the following areas: treasury, accounts receivable, account payable, payroll and financial reporting. This position offers opportunities to interact regularly with senior and executive management and work on strategic business transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Direct and oversee all aspects of the accounting functions of the organization.
2. Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
3. Manage processes for financial forecasting, monthly reporting, and annual budgets.
4. Prepares and approves budgets, staffing and general operating procedures and other plans for all departments in the Club.
5. Perform the payroll functions and human resource functions.
6. Perform timely review of accounts receivable accounts and financial results, including review of customer contracts.
7. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
9. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
CPA preferred.
1-2 Years Accounting Experience Preferred

· Excellent Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with different individuals/functions across the organization.
· Excellent time and project-management skills with ability to prioritize among competing objectives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
· Prepares accounting reports as necessary and appropriate for dissemination to the Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and other Club committees.
· Verifies that inventory of equipment is maintained for insurance records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
