Broad Function:

The role of the Financial Reporting Specialist is to produce, organize and present accurate financial reports and provide data-based information and analysis on the company’s growth and profitability. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating reports, monitoring current financial performance, and developing models to forecast future performance. This person will work closely with each of the business units to provide clarity and to support their business objectives. This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Work with the controller to support both routine and technical accounting needs related to the monthly general ledger closing, management reporting processes and external financial reporting.
  • Support European team and U.S. team on financial reporting management
  • Assist in the development of various management reports, including quarterly and annual reporting to meet all requirements
  • Maintain data integrity/reporting of budgeting tools to assist in preparation of annual budget.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement, forecasts, etc), considering company’s goals and financial standing
  • Identify trends, advise business leaders, and recommend actions based on empirical analysis
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts and budget
  • Reconcile historical information and develop root cause analysis
  • Consult with business unit leaders to influence long term and strategic decision making and to support their business objectives
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives through cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts to help inform decision making by management.
  • Work cross functionally with consolidations, corporate decision support, and financial analysis.
  • Continually evaluate system processes across the company and lead projects to streamline and improve internal and external reporting.
  • Completes special projects and assists with other ad-hoc requests as needed.

Skills & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferred concentrations in business, finance, accounting, or statistics
  • 2 to 4 years of FP&A or related experience.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and financial software applications
  • Excellent data management and reporting skills required.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Attention to detail, good organization skills, and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and data analysis.
  • Quick learner with aptitude for various systems and processes, self-starter.
  • OneStream experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Desire and ability to work as part of a small, agile team.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
