This individual will spend time in both the Williston, ND and Crosby, ND office.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the AgCountry insurance department. Schedule and prepare files for appointments, and order supplies. Maintain complete and up-to-date historical customer files, including current and transfer files. Perform or direct accurate and timely keying and printing of forms and reports. Process insurance claims and assist with underwriting MPCI policies. Process insurance claims and assist with underwriting MPCI policies.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the farm accounting department through accurate and timely keying and report printing of farm accounting statements on a branch or regional basis. Distribute reports to customers after review. Scan data and maintain accounting files. Prepare and distribute balance sheet letters and related correspondence. Work on monthly customer payroll calculation, deposits, and input in addition to necessary quarterly/annual reporting. Assist with and review info returns.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the tax department. Includes scheduling, preparing files for appointments, recording statistics, and maintaining complete and up-to-date historical customer files. Maintain tax files according to procedure, including current tax files and transfer files for tax accounts. E-File tax returns and track status of e-filed returns. Perform or direct accurate and timely keying and printing of forms and reports for the tax department. Copy, assemble, and distribute forms and reports to customers and files. Maintain customer depreciation schedules. Assist with and review info returns.
  • Maintain and expand tax, farm accounting and/or insurance knowledge and technical competency. Work with supervisor and the association Education Department to further develop knowledge through continuing education. Maintain and expand expertise in other computer applications and complete special studies.
  • Enhance overall branch operations through efficient administrative support to all Financial Services and Credit departments.


Required Qualifications:

  • Post High School education in a related field and/or equivalent related business experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple relationships in a positive manner and gain agreement on time-sensitive issues
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to five years tax, accounting and/or insurance support experience.
  • Knowledge of agriculture industry.
  • An understanding of farm accounting, tax and/or insurance products and services.
