CPP-Syracuse is a manufacturer of premium investment castings for the Air Craft and Industrial Gas Turbine industry and has been in business for over 70 years. We have over 275 employees currently working in our Chittenango, NY facility.

We are currently looking for an experienced individual for our Metal End :department working Monday - Friday. Current opening is on our 2nd Shift Monday - Friday :overtime as needed. Experience preferred. Will train. CPP Syracuse is looking for production workers throughout our facility on 2n shift to join our aerospace team! $2.00 2nd shift differential & $3,000 sign on bonus / 5% Bonus program / Hourly rate $20+ per hour :

Finisher –: This position the successful candidate to perform duties related to the visual inspection and/or removal of visual defects on rough/final casting parts. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. This position will also require the successful candidate to have the ability to identify and remove casing defects, rout and weld prep require areas of the castings. In additional the candidate will need to access all required documents and to work from detailed instruction and prescribed routines to perform duties. This position will also require the use of hand operated die grounding tool and belt sanders to grind, blend and smooth out surfaces, burs, parting lines, weld buildups and finish interior and exterior surfaces. The ability to use basic gauges and measuring devices is required. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. The successful candidate will also be able to Identify and implement improvement opportunities through the use of tools such as Systematic Problem Solving, Process Management, Value Stream Mapping, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Certifications/Licenses: None
• Experience: Entry Level Position – Prior manufacturing experience a plus
