This role is the face of the gym floor; you are the person a member sees when he or she is working out inside the facility. It is important that this person has a friendly demeanor with a great eye for detail. The Floor Tech is responsible for the overall upkeep of the fitness floor, equipment, and surrounding areas, walls & mirrors.
Job Expectations:
- Work your scheduled shifts and arrive on time every shift
- Arrive for your shift in full uniform: brand approved shirt, khaki or black athletic pants, and sneakers (be well groomed, neat, and presentable)
- Aim to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity
- Make eye contact with customers
- Smile authentically at customers
- Speak enthusiastically to customers
- Be attentive and courteous to customers
- Keep a sense of urgency and hustle when it comes to helping customers
- Keep a positive, upbeat personality
- Be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively
- Active CPR/AED certification preferred
- Cleaning and maintenance of Retro Fitness outlet main floor
- Testing equipment for efficiency
- Stocking of products/items
- Lubricating and greasing of circuit training equipment
- Reporting any facility issues to Management/Ownership
- Spot cleaning of walls, mirrors, windows, & diamond plating
- Re-racking of weights
- Disinfecting equipment and upholstery
- Facility Dusting
- Following company policies & procedures
