Summary:

Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming

with special events. The Floral Manager is responsible for leading the floral design team in creating custom arrangements for special events as agreed to by clients. In conjunction with the CEO ensures the division is aligned with Jorgensen quality standards, vision, values, and culture.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading communication related to the preparation and execution of Jorgensen Floral Design services.
• Work with President and Retail/Market leadership to provide weekly floral bouquets and arrangements
• Promote an environment of customer focus and proactive selling techniques.
• Provide consultation to customers regarding price and type of floral arrangements desired from small scale arrangements to large scale events.
• Accountable for floral sales, labor, and meeting financial and profitability objectives.
• Manage the team to design, prepare, and set-up all floral decor items as selected by clients.
• Work with Jorgensen staff and external vendors to deliver services as expected by clients.
• Interview, hire, and manage exit process with support from HR.
• Plan and facilitate training for the team on Jorgensen design procedures.
• Manage company and team schedules.
• Manage client and vendor escalations from a floral design perspective.
• Support Floral Office Coordinator with in-house client management software.
• Coordinate daily tasks for the design team.
• Ensure proper management of equipment and workspaces and adherence to safety standards.
• Responsible for representing the Floral Design division at events, including but not limited to open houses and trade shows.
• Coordinate with Jorgensen Catering to ensure there is a floral design presence at monthly group tastings.
• Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for all staff and guests.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Abilities:

• Have a passion for weddings, events, floral design, and the hospitality industry
• Ability to lead, motivate, and delegate responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Have a guest-centric mentality
• Be able to analyze and solve problems while multitasking
• Be able to lift equipment up to 40 pounds on a consistent and repetitive basis
• Be able to work on their feet for the entirety of their shift
• Have the ability to relate to a diverse set of team members, clients and guests
• Be willing to work a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Have the willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done
• Possess strong organization and time management skills

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years of special event floral design experience
• At least 3 years of management experience in a floral shop/department

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
