FMLA School Social Worker

AnthroMed Education is a local organization in Illinois that provides school-based Special Education services, including Social Work. We reliably support our talented team of School Social Workers to watch them flourish and truly make a difference in students’ lives. We are currently working with one of our partner schools in Arlington Heights that is immediately seeking a K-5th grade School Social Worker to join their team and support FMLA coverage.

Role Overview:

• Monday-Friday, 8:15am - 3:45pm
• Provide social work services to K-5th students
• Manage a caseload of 20 RTI and Special Education students
• Own dedicated space to provide services
• Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies
• Provide crisis intervention strategies to improve student’s success
• Advocate for the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of each student
• Develop strategies to maximize coping skills for students in difficult situations
• Collaborate with teachers and IEP team to understand student’s struggles and/or distress
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for students to encourage social, emotional, and educational growth
• Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and makes changes to the plan as necessary
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain records of assessments and progress monitoring
• Other duties as assigned

School Social Worker Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in School Social Work (MSW) is required
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required
• Ability to work both individually as well as in a team-based environment with parents, teachers, students, and administrators
• Be able to commute to Arlington Heights, 60004
