Country Club of New Bedford is in search of a Food & Beverage Manager.

Country Club of New Bedford is located in North Dartmouth and is a private golf club. We host several tournaments during the spring, summer and fall, including our flagship Fourball Tournament- a week-long golf tournament.

In addition to tournaments, we regularly host events such as bridal and baby showers, memorial gatherings, business meetings and celebrations, and social events for our members. Our clubhouse is open daily for lunch and dinner. The clubhouse and golf facilities are only open to our members and their guests.

We are looking for service-driven candidates who are self-motivated and work well as part of a team. Creating exceptional experiences for our members is our top priority. The primary responsibilities for this position are to manage the restaurant and FOH staff and to manage all outside events from start to completion.

As an Event Coordinator:

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with members
• Planning event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests
• Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time
• Remaining under budget with all costs
• Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
• Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
• Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events

As Restaurant Manager:

• Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
• Training staff to follow restaurant procedures
• Maintaining safety and food quality standards
• Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
• Organizing schedules
• Keeping track of employees’ hours
• Recording payroll data
• Supervising daily shift operations
• Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
• Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
• Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
• Appraising staff performance
• Interviewing/recruiting new employees
• Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (required due to service of alcoholic beverages)
• TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol Certification is required
• Must be willing and able to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed
• Must have previous experience in a full-service restaurant
• Must have a positive attitude & friendly personality
• Must maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times
• Must be dependable
• Must have knowledge about Facebook and Instagram.
• Must be able to produce our newsletter.
