Part-time Food Service Workers – Multiple Positions

College and Area
Information:

Eastern Arizona College’s District Offices are located in Thatcher, Arizona, a beautiful rural area with easy access to arid as
well as mountainous recreation. The College is located approximately 125 miles northeast of Tucson and 165 miles southeast
of Phoenix. EAC is a comprehensive community college offering five associate degrees across nearly 50 programs of study.
Eastern Arizona College is the oldest member of the Arizona Community College system and is fully accredited by The Higher
Learning Commission.

Organizational
Relationship:

The Food Service Workers report to the Food Service Supervisors. These are part-time positions generally consisting of no
more than 19.5 hours per week as scheduled by the supervisor.

Required
Qualifications:

  • Experience in a food service capacity
  • Understanding of various food services functions and how to work as an effective member of a team
  • Thorough understanding of and the ability to implement important safety standards – both in the area of safe food
preparation and handling and in the area safe job performance
  • Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays and
repetitive shifts when necessary
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, reach, kneel and stretch using good body mechanics for sustained periods of
time

  • May perform any of the job functions listed at any time as directed by supervisors.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and implement all sanitary measures for food service equipment, supplies, and
facilities.

of EAC’s food services.

Cashiers:

  • May have a main job function, but be willing and able to perform any of the job functions listed as needed or directed by
supervisors.
  • Provide a superior level of customer service and promote a positive image and perception of EAC’s food services.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and implement all sanitary measures necessary for a food service facility to operate
effectively.
  • Perform all duties safely and efficiently as an effective member of a high performing food services team.

Pueblo Campus Administration Office, located at 8274 Six Shooter Canyon Road, Globe, AZ (Gila Pueblo Campus); and Payson Campus
Administration Office, located at 201 N. Mud Springs Rd., Payson, AZ (Payson Campus).

A fire log containing all reported fires that occurred at any of EAC's on-campus student housing facilities is available during normal business
hours at the Housing Office, located at 900 N. College Avenue, Thatcher, AZ.
