Ford Certified Light Duty Mechanic (Rotational Schedule @ Base Shop) - Prudhoe Bay, AK Job at Worley
This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
($82k - $96k+ per yr., DOE / Remote location on a Rotational Schedule)

Job Purpose:
Completes routine maintenance, diagnosis and repair, including engine and transmission, on mainly Ford F-Series truck & chassis, some Econoline, and F-150/Expedition vehicles. Operates and inspects vehicles or equipment to diagnose defects and complete repairs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Required to work on fuel, electrical, hydraulic, drive train and other component systems, including, but not limited to, driveability, suspension, steering, heating / air conditioning, brake, exhaust / DPF, and multiplex systems.
- Use and operate associated tooling and test equipment common to the trade.
- Able to prepare paperwork and appropriate documentation, describe failure(s) and repair(s) performed, as associated with manufacturer warranty requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of diesel/gas theory, hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of light duty equipment preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of and experience in lubrication procedures for all types of Light duty equipment.
- Skilled in Ford OASIS system tools and symptom code use. Use of technical assistance tools, i.e., TSB/SSM, cost cap / prior approval, HVBOM, workshop manual & PCED methods.
- Ability to maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand schematic, blueprint/drawings, job descriptions, maintenance/safety/technical manuals and safety/warning signs.

External Qualifications:
- Three years (3) experience as a mechanic in a light equipment dealership or industrial equipment maintenance shop.
- Ford dealership experience.
- Ford mechanic certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by WORLEY's auto insurer.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with remote North Slope operations.
- Experience with Ford warranty work.
