The Freight Hauler - Frankfort, IL carries out the task of moving raw materials, finished products, and equipment to and from production facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers. They use semis, flatbeds, and loboys in agreement with state and federal laws and regulations. The drivers will be responsible for the delivery of machinery from the home location to various local accounts and across the nation. Fleet is taken care of by the firm.Responsibilities:* Transferring raw materials, finished products, and equipment to and from manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers* Utilizing a variety of vehicles, comprising tractor-trailers, box trucks, and flatbeds* Obedience to state and federal laws and regulations* Completing pre- and post-trip inspections* Keeping accurate and timely log books* Communicating with dispatchers to plan and coordinate deliveries* Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines* Reporting any accidents, incidents, or violations to the relevant authorities* Ensuring vehicle cleanliness and examining oil and other fluid levels.*Job does necessitate overnights outside during the summer months, home weekends in addition to local deliveries during the fall and spring.Qualifications:* Legitimate commercial driver's license (CDL)* Good driving record with no major violations* Capacity to pass DOT physical examination and drug test* Solid time management skills* Good communication and teamwork skills* Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment* Expertise with flatbed or box truck is a plus* Expertise working in a manufacturing environment is a plus* Must have knowledge of safety protocols and standardsBenefits:Company paid BCBS health insurance as well as paid holidaysUniformsHourly rate/ weeklyYou should be well-versed in:
