Job Description

Restaurant City Sarasota is seeking a qualified person to work in our showroom assisting customers, entering transactions at the register, stocking shelves, and maintaining the presentation of our product displays. Must be a detail-oriented, self-starter willing to work in a customer focused environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time available

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on relevant experience

The Sales Clerk is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Directing customers to products/members of our sales team as needed
• Working the register, assisting customers with check-out process
• Data entry in our Point of Sale system and our payment processing
• Stocking shelves and maintaining cleanliness of our showroom
• Periodically updating price tags/product signage
• Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM (Overtime available)
• Saturday hours available
• Retail/wholesale experience preferred
• Previous experience working in foodservice is a plus
• All candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Requirements:

• Friendly attitude and team player looking to provide a “first class” customer service experience
• Must have strong attention to detail when entering sales orders and taking payment from customers
• Basic computer skills for data entry into our Point of Sale system
• Must be prepared to stand and walk on concrete for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to read labels and product descriptions on cases, boxes & bags.
• Urgent, proactive demeanor
• Adhere to all company work & safety rules.
• Maintain standards of personal hygiene and proper dress code.
• Must be able to communicate promptly with team members and management to resolve any customer service issues.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
