Front-End Loader Operators to work at our
Golden Triangle Mill Services location in
Columbus, MS .
The Front-End Loader Operator will operate an end loader for the purpose of loading and unloading trucks and rail cars, as well as stockpiling materials.
Pay: $24/hr; plus a $2/hr shift differential while on nights
Shift: 4 days on/4 days off; rotates day/night shift 7-7

Responsibilities
The Front-End Loader Operator Operator will:
- Moving levers and depressing pedals to activate equipment
- Performing daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling and fueling
- Monitoring any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions
- Reporting any equipment or plant malfunctions
- Maintaining cleanliness of equipment
- Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs
- Operating radio communication device
- Maintaining level work area to allow easy movement and access
- Loading and unloading scrap from trucks and railcars
- Complying with weight limits when loading trucks
- Ensuring that trucks are loaded with the appropriate scrap products
- Maintaining bucket levels when transporting material to keep machine balanced and to prevent spillage
- Loading trucks with material while eliminating contamination
- Operating remote locomotive
- Operating rail switches
- Monitoring scrap for any radioactivity
- Identifying physical properties of scrap
- Maintaining stock piles of scrap, raw materials and finished product
- Meeting customer service expectations
- Complying with all safety regulations and policies
- Record keeping
- Completing timecards
- Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to operate endloader and remote locomotive
- Knowledge of materials
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to identify physical qualities of radioactive material
- Knowledge of process for handling radioactive material
- Customer service skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to read and operate in-truck computer system
- Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to read and write
- Basic math skills
