Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Murrysville

• Start Date: June 2023
• Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 am - 4 pm, Fridays, 9 am - 5 pm | Guaranteed 40 hours/week.
• Hourly Rate: $25-35/hr
• Children: 5-year-old, 3-year-old, and baby #3 due in September
• Pets: One mini Goldendoodle
• Flu & Covid Shots Required
• Paid Vacation: One week paid vacation nanny's choice, one week paid family's choice, three sick/personal days, and all holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: True or false? When a movie’s credits roll = your cue to get up and start singing and dancing. Seriously, that’s when the best songs play. This vibrant, girl-power-heavy household seeks a mature, proactive, and loving nanny to join their family for potentially the next half a decade. There’s mom, dad, two daughters, and a third daughter is on the way in September who's destined to be instantly swarmed in love and song. You’ll maestro the day’s itinerary, and get creative with learning-rich, character-building activities like crafts, field trips, and simple science experiments. The girls are excellent students. They are close and very supportive of each other. The five-year-old is meticulous and tender-hearted while the three-year-old is playful and bold. With full access to a family vehicle, you’ll shuttle the kids to and from school, the library, museums, and baby music class. Be ready to unleash your imagination as you play make-believe, draw, and explore outside together. And bring your swimsuit because there’s lots of splish-splashing in the summer. You’ll start at eight or nine am most days and finish around four or five pm, but flexibility is appreciated and will be reciprocated. There are no allergies, but please be up-to-date on your flu shot and COVID vaccines. You’ll spearhead the daytime chores, always surveillant for what else you can take ownership of and complete. This includes the children’s laundry, bottle washing, meal prep, vacuuming, sweeping, and other household task relief. You’ll also help with pet care for the mini golden doodle, ensuring he has food, water, potty breaks, and the occasional walk. Grandma visits often and turns ordinary meals into extraordinary gatherings with an extended Italian family who’ll welcome you with open arms. We connected this family with their previous nanny and can assure you this is a dream-come-true opportunity.

  The Ideal Nanny Would Be...PERCEPTIVE! You don’t need to be prompted, asked, or reminded to help with this or that because you see a need and get after it. For example, if you proclaim to be someone with a knack for making baby food, that means you find the recipe, buy any missing ingredients, prepare a batch, and safely store the leftovers. You’re a seasoned nanny who’s very mature and you’re not territorial or easily offended. You realize the unit operates optimally as a team and appreciate the extra hands and alternative perspectives of loving adults who are eager to help and want to feel included. You’re fair, patient, and will love and treat all three girls equally. And most importantly, you genuinely care about enriching their lives and aware that your life will fill with love in return.
