Tradebe's Subsidiary, Norlite Corporation, operates two high-temperature rotary kilns that use recycled fuels and other recoverable products to produce a lightweight aggregate that is used in bridges, buildings, specialized fill, and growing media for green roofs. Norlite achieves 99.9995% destruction removal efficiency on the most difficult to incinerate organic materials. Processes are in place at Norlite to ensure the integrity of the waste storage tanks and kiln system. Operating conditions are constantly monitored to ensure that fuel is burned completely. In addition, emissions are carefully monitored, controlled and treated to prevent air pollution. Norlite sets the standard found in the new hazardous waste combustor MACT regulations for lightweight aggregate kilns.

Tradebe is seeking a full-time Individual at its Cohoes, New York facility, who will install, maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems of all plant machinery at the facility.

Responsibilities

• This individual will perform millwright duties such as troubleshooting and repair of rotating and reciprocating equipment;
• Will assemble, dissemble, remove, install, clean and lubricate, as needed, shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys and other hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical parts of machines.
• Individual will also repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic and other fluid powered equipment or mechanical systems;
• Connect or disconnect electrical equipment or components that are incidental to repairs.
• Individual will also perform construction and rigging activities;
• Perform work through “the work order system”; and record work performed and materials used.
• Some light welding, grinding and fabricating is also required.
• Individual will work in elevated and difficult positions;
• Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and sketches; draw sketches and schematics as needed;
• Operate lift trucks and powered lifts as required.
• The selected candidate will research, design, and make lists to order all hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices, materials and components as necessary for projects, equipment maintenance, and equipment repair or directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or the equivalent and five to ten years of experience as a millwright or related field work are required.
• The ability to read equipment prints, secure information from OEM manuals;
• Good communication skills both written and verbal are required.
• Prior exposure and knowledge in the repairing of of pumps, compressors, gear boxes, and blowers;
• The ability to work with limited supervision;
• A valid driver’s license are required.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems and disciplines such as Copper, PVC plastic and Victaulic are preferred.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required.
