We are looking for bright and energetic candidates to provide in-home support to a fun and delightful individual with developmental disabilities. This includes assisting with all activities of daily living, appointments, community outings, and recreational pursuits. This is a fully vaccinated household. Training is provided.

We are seeking candidates with any of the following availability:

7am-3pm: Friday, Saturday, and Monday

3pm-11pm: Tuesday-Saturday

11pm-7am: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

On-call: Various days - 7am-3pm; 3pm-11pm; 11pm-7am

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Washington State Driver’s License, clean driving record, and valid automobile insurance (required)
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S (documentation required)
• Ability to pass mandatory state and federal background screenings by third-party human resource company
• Ability to pass drug test
• No previous criminal history
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
• Personal and professional references (required)
• CPR/First Aid Certificate
• Non‐smoker

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Must be able to work independently
• Must be physically and mentally capable of caring for a vulnerable adult with developmental disabilities
• Develop and maintain open, professional working relationships between all staff and family
• Demonstrate self‐motivation, self‐direction, flexibility and reliability
• Nurse Delegation within 120 days of employment (preferred)
• CNA/HHA (preferred)
• HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen Certification
• In-process, completed, or scheduled COVID-19 vaccination

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

• Ensure the daily needs of the resident are met, including personal hygiene, food preparation of healthy meals, housekeeping, laundry, shopping, monitoring the health needs of resident including supervision of medication
• Assist resident with eating, dressing, showering, and mobility
• Ensure resident’s safety and well being
• Assist resident in transitioning from one activity to another
• Assist resident in regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings and activities. This may require transporting resident in the resident’s own vehicle
• Assist, supervise, engage, and support resident’s planned activities (including swimming,) that meet resident’s needs, and that provide opportunities for community integration
• Ensure resident is treated with respect and dignity at all times
• Interact with resident, and provide an array of instruction and support services as described in the resident’s Individual Instruction Support Plan (IISP) and Positive Behavior Support Plan
• Complete daily written documentation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Employer will pay for COVID tests as needed. Household is fully vaccinated and additional sanitation measures are in place to ensure a disinfected home. Initial interviews are scheduled virtually. Only final candidates scheduled for in-home interview.
