Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience or technical bootcamp experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in software development with 3+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience and 2+ years of experience developing backend/RESTful services.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Proven experience designing & building APIs (REST, API Gateway, SpringBoot, etc.).
• Familiarity and drive to learn serverless technologies (AWS).
• Experience developing cloud-hosted, responsive, web applications using any modern framework or library like VueJS, React, Angular or NodeJS.
• Hands on experience on working on variety of SQL and No-SQL databases and performing performance tuning for production grade databases.
• An understanding of essential security including access control and authentication to secured SDLC processes, and privacy concerns for customer-facing fintech applications. Experience of conducting threat-modelling is a plus.
• Experience designing solutions using cloud computing platforms & services (AWS Lambda, CDK, S3, EC2, OCF)
• Experience with build/deploy automation & DevOps frameworks (CI/CD, Bamboo, pipeline-as-code, AWS CDK/CFT).
• Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and concepts (Junit, Mocks, Jest).
• Strong consultative skills, including the ability to understand and apply customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.
• Experience working collaboratively in an Agile environment (Scrum, XP) on a cross-functional team (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers).
• Very strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
• Strong facilitation and consensus building skills.
• Experience with 508 Compliance
• Experience with HTML/CSS and responsive cross browser optimization
