First State is a community bank headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. We have branch offices in Goshen, Elkhart and South Bend. We take the term "Community Bank" to heart. Right now, we have an opening for an Operations & Call Center Representative in our Corporate Headquarters located in Middlebury, IN. This position is vital to our continued success. You would be the first impression of First State Bank to anyone who calls our Bank. It takes someone with a smile on their face and in their voice.

Here are things that you would do during your work day:

• Serve as central access point for all incoming phone calls from FSB customers and prospects
• Provide friendly, caring customer service while processing transactions for customers
• Utilize technology to help you and our customers
• Develop an understanding of our Bank's products and services
• Transfer calls per customer request to specific FSB employees

And here are some skills that you will need:

• We would prefer you have at least one year of banking experience, but if you have customer service experience you will be considered without banking experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Friendly personality, positive attitude and professional image
• Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and age groups
• Proven customer service skills
• Ability to successfully complete our in-house training program
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness and ability to adjust to a change in work schedule with adequate notice
• Ability to use Microsoft Office program

The position offers good working conditions and environment. You must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. You may be sitting or standing for long periods of time during your day.
