Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility

Busy family with complex needs is seeking an ultra-organized Household Manager for their household. This is a hands-on position that will set the standard for an efficient, high-quality operation.

Time will be split roughly as follows:

• Main house in Driftwood - 80-90%
• Downtown Austin condo - once every two weeks (rarely used by the family, but sometimes used as a meeting space for one of the principals)
• Ranch between Dripping Springs and Johnson City - once/month

The overarching goal is to make sure that the homes are running like well-oiled machines, and that the other homes are properly prepared for the family's arrival. Some duties will include:

• Staff management, training, and hands-on support (set the standard, but also willing to get their hands dirty - not just managing); develop schedules and checklists
• Constantly seeking ways to gain efficiencies, assess and shift resources, and make sure the right team is in place - the Principals are open to new ideas and approaches
• Expense control for all employees - developing processes and budgets for projects, proposals, approval of projects, etc.
• Create systems to ensure that the home is running/functioning properly (e.g., remote batteries, light bulbs, massage chairs, WiFi, technical troubleshooting, favorite/key items are stocked)
• Personal Assistant duties for both principals: calendaring, organizing projects, making appointments, coordinating child's schedule (coordinating with driver, housekeepers, nanny); maintaining inventory of items (especially leading up to move), and miscellaneous tasks as they arise (e.g., frame/hang picture, move furniture)
• Miscellaneous - see things that need to be done and take care of them without asking (e.g., cutting off tags and disposing of packaging/waste for new items)
• Future: event planning (coordinate with EAs) - particularly when they relocate to Austin eventually

Candidate will be:

• Extremely knowledgeable regarding quality control for housekeeping, care of fine items (clothing, linens, art, luxury wallpaper, etc.), and organization systems (labeling, logical placement of items)
• Able to unify training and staffing in all homes
• Completely trustworthy and ethical, always demonstrating integrity
• A proactive, self-starter with a great work ethic
• Ultra-organized with extreme attention to detail
• Tech savvy and experienced with smart home systems
• Willing to travel between homes as much as needed
• Flexible with duties and schedule, not above any task and willing to assist after hours and weekends when necessary
• An outstanding communicator with excellent common sense, always closing the loop on requests
• Respectful of the Principals' privacy and honors discretion
• Service-minded, but autonomous - anticipating needs without intruding on the Principals' limited time and availability
• A team player, able to interact well with Nanny, Housekeepers, Handyman, Executive Assistants, etc.; able to unite and averse to drama
• Comfortable with 3-year-old child

There will be a two-week trial period for this position.

Note: Family will be relocating from Driftwood to north Austin (River Place) in July 2024 or later depending on renovation schedule.
