Job Title: Full-Time Technical Writer/Proposal Support

Security Clearance: Not Required but Desired

Location: Hybrid (Combination Telework and Onsite(Alexandria, VA))

Salary: $40,000 plus incentives; first three months compensation as 1099

Experience: Prior military or Government experience a must

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication or other relevant field

Overall Description: Write proposals, Grants, and bid responses that effectively convey TSM’s corporate strengths and qualifications to potential clients. Ensure that the response to proposals are accurate, compliant, and competitive by working collaboratively with sales and business development teams. Read, review, analyze, and interpret proposals and objectives of solicitations and other documents. Build TSM’s market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing subcontractor and prime contractor business relationships. Identify trends and ideas through industry and related events, collaboration with multiple parties, and clear understanding of business intelligence. Must have great interpersonal and communication abilities with strategic thinking and positioning.

Detailed Experience:

Proven work experience with a track record of a minimum three (3) or more years of experience in writing and responding to proposals.

Duties:

  • Identify and support proposal development as lead writer.
  • Interface with Government contracts specialists for small business set asides in the areas of SDB, WOSB, SDWOSB, and SBA Certified HubZone.
  • Interface with and negotiate non-discloser and teaming agreements with large and small businesses for proposal submission.
  • Work with TSM recruiters to ensure candidate selection and letters of intent and contingency offers are in alignment with contract Statements of Work, Quality Surveillance, and Performance Work Statements.
  • Identify and research potential clients through email marketing
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to develop winning and mutually beneficial proposals.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Interface with current TSM customers to grow relationships and position the company for contract growth and recompete.
  • Utilize solicitation databases such as GSA Schedules E-buy, SAM.gov, IDIQs, and GovWin.
  • Initiate proposal debriefs when necessary.
  • Some travel may be required.
