Job Summary:

This position is responsible for serving as the Product Owner for the Gas Transaction Information System and all enhancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency for all users. In addition, this position is responsible for providing Natural Gas Scheduling support, providing guidance and supervision for 3rd party Suppliers and serving as coordinator of the Midwest Standard Service Offer service.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Gas Transaction Information System (GTIS) Product Owner
  • Actively participate in daily GTIS and GTIS product enhancements agile meetings.
  • Provide and rank business priorities to the agile team through optimizing the product backlog.
  • Assist in developing the vision and budget for further GTIS and GTIS support enhancements.
  • Oversee and evaluate the development of GTIS product enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and the GTIS Agile team.
  • Assist in training new GTIS enhancements to the Gas Supply and Finance teams.
  • Lead in the completion and accuracy of compliance for all security GTIS SOX controls.
  • Enter internal GTIS users as per SOX and organization guidelines permit
  • Serve as the backup Owner to the GTIS NAM group and database
  • Serve as liaison for internal groups as it relates to GTIS, Power BI, VBA Macros, and other reporting needs Standard Service Offer (SSO) Supplier coordinator
  • Serve as coordinator of the DEO SSO service for purposes of ensuring compliance with internal and SSO tariff requirements.
  • Ensure Pipeline Services, Gas Trading, Gas Scheduling and Citygate Operations complete requirements by applicable due dates to ensure compliance with SSO tariff requirements and administration of the SSO Auction.
  • Ensure all Agreements have been signed and filed as per the Duke Energy retention policy.
  • Create and lead training of the SSO Suppliers on the operational requirements and functions of GTIS.
  • Monitor and ensure any SSO Supplier penalties are invoiced appropriately by Finance.
  • Ensure the accuracy on the SSO Supplier bi-annual capacity release quantities. Scheduling and 3rd Party Supplier Support
  • Provide back up support in the allocation of RNG quantities for 3rd party brokers or customers, as needed.
  • Assist in development of yearly Dispatch Guides and the daily and monthly maintenance of such Dispatch Guides.
  • Assist in scheduling of gas and running of applicable daily and monthly reports.
  • The evaluation of scheduling needs for an operational flow order and execution/participation in the company's Business Continuity Curtailment and Broker Nominations plans.
  • Assist with management of FBS, EFBS and IMBS accounts and Choice Suppliers
  • Assist with management of daily and monthly Citygate Operations activities.
  • Assistance with resolving customer measurement issues.
  • Provide support with Broker nominations changes or discrepancies.
Basic/Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) or more years of related work experience OR High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) or more years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner or product development experience
  • Experience with Agile
  • Experience with Gas Transaction Information System or other Natural Gas Scheduling Software
  • Business Knowledge and experience with Standard Service Offer (SSO) service or Standard Choice Offer (SCO) service management and administration.
  • Ability to grasp and explain complicated subject matter to others across the business that are either less technical or less business oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and as well as the ability to bridge the gap between technical application and how it relates to the business.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze complex issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and display effective negotiating skills when dealing with diverse customer expectations
  • Self-directed, highly motivated team leader
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams to achieve desired results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software tools
  • Demonstrated motivational, presentation, public speaking skills
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility.
