Full-Time

Wages starting at $22.66/hr. for entry level candidates. Additional pay may be available for candidates with experience. Compensation will be determined based on candidate’s experience and skill set.

Mitchell Crushed Stone is an open-pit limestone mine/quarry seeking a General Utility / Helper for our operation located in Mitchell, IN .

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean up, operations, and watering down roadways.
• Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times
• Operate equipment, including but not limited to: skid steer, loader, trucks of various sizes, grader, and dozer.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
• Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines.
• Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions
• Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
• Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned
• Ability to learn quickly
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
