General Laborer

Are you interested in working a set schedule for a well-structured company located on the outskirts of Philadelphia, MS? Look no further. Our Company is seeking a General Laborer to join our team. In this position, you will complete daily tasks independently or on a team. Projects include assembly, measuring shipping, ect.

Hours for this position are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with potential overtime. Steel toes shoes and safety glasses are required. Successful candidates will have a steady work history and demonstrate the motivation to work.

Responsibilities:

• Performs various physical duties as assigned
• Maintain all safety standards
• Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads, materials
• Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on the assignment
• Clean up shop from hazardous or obsolete material
• Work with other employees through all stages of project to make sure that the job is done efficiently
• Handle and transport materials and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
• Follow instructions from supervisors to preform manual labor task
• Help with setting up and trans temporary structures
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
• The above list responsibilities describes normal work, but the supervisor may assign this person to duties not listed when production requirements dictate or when there is not enough work in the regular classification to fill out the workday.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age
• Good attendance and performance work history
• Motivated Self-Starter that can productively work alone and in teams/groups to solve problems and get your work done in a timely manner.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Work in both climates, inside and outside
• Cross-train in other departments
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
• Power tool experience
