You will succeed in this position if you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. This Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment that is located in the Rancho Cucamonga, California area.

Major responsibilities

• G/L oversight and maintenance. Journal entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations and analysis
• Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
• Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process
• Assist in the implementation of Division Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
• Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
• Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
• Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
• Reliable technology and analytical abilities
• Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
• CPA or MBA a plus but not required
• Fixed assets experience preferred
• Well-founded grasp of Annual Internal Audit
• Proven knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
• Experience with month end closings
• Deep understanding of Supervisory Oversight
• Command of financial analysis
• General ledger experience desired
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
• 4+ years of recent relevant financial experience
