Sheng Sheng Construction has been in the construction industry for over 12 years. It is a family-owned and operated business that serves the 5 boroughs of NYC.

The Office Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Office and Administration Manager in ensuring that all guests of Sheng Sheng Construction are being met with the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and follow through worker's compensation cases as needed
  • Increase productivity in the office
  • Negotiate and purchase building materials
  • Greet guests and direct them to the appropriate person or office.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls in a friendly, positive manner.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Keep office up to date with stationary materials which includes ordering appropriate office supplies.
  • Experience/knowledge with accounting is a plus.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail/deliveries to the office.
  • Provide accurate information to guests and employees.
  • Prepare meeting and training rooms.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc administrative and clerical duties upon request.
  • Communicate with outside vendors (facilities, management, etc.)

Education / Qualifications
Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Must be bilingual (English/ Mandarin Chinese)
  • Accounting and bookkeeping background/ experience is a plus
  • Hardworking and willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Customer service experience.
