Responsible for the management of all the employee relations functions. Empowering employee relations and resolving any Human Resource topics, as required with the aim of building a positive and engaged work environment. Oversee the development of solutions and innovative approaches for employee services, including policies, procedures, and programs, occupational health and safety programs, and labor laws/compliance. Ensures that all employment practices comply with local and federal labor laws and the corresponding requirements of regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the operations of the Employee Relations unit through orientation, counseling, performance management or partnership with leaders in progressive discipline processes with the personnel.
  • Directly supervises the Human Resources Business Partners by ensuring all the processes are in compliance with any federal/local law and corporate guidelines.
  • Manages and guides employee complaints, Human Resources Business Partners on grievance procedures and facilitates counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  • Oversees circumstances about employee relationships and performance issues promptly and/or makes appropriate decisions regarding performance management, including, but not limited to, performance improvement plans (PIP’s).
  • Investigate and resolve complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide proper notice about any potential risk to the corresponding stakeholders.
  • Collates and analyzes employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revises employee programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes align Human Resources efforts and strategy.
  • Directly oversees the development or modification of the company policies and procedures to establish, reinforce, and promote knowledge, understanding, and compliance with expected behavior and performance standards for all the company`s employees.
  • Partners with Human Resources Team to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices and programs.
  • Participates and ensures leads projects focused on continuous improvement.
  • Provides support in internal and/or external audits related to the Human Resources department.
  • Supervises the execution of the Business Partner assigned to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. and oversees the annual plan established in collaboration with the Administration and Facilities Department.
  • Responsible and accountable for the operations of the Employee File Room. Ensures the employees` files are up to date and well organized, ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality, and document management controls.
  • Manages weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports, as necessary.
  • Supervises, monitors, trains, evaluates, and corrects, among other tasks required to fully comply with their role as supervisor of the personnel assigned to the unit. Ensures that the performance of direct reports complies with the assigned work plan and the tasks inherent to their positions and that their behavior complies with the company's policies, standards, rules, and procedures.
  • Complies fully and consistently with the company's standards, policies, and procedures and the local and federal laws applicable to our industry, business, and employment practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Employment Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related areas. Master's degree preferably.

Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least three (3) years of experience in personnel supervision. Strong and deep experience in the industry.

"Proven experience may be replaced by previously established requirements."

Certifications / Licenses: PHR/SPHR/GPHR or Human Resources certification is highly desirable.

Others: Extensive knowledge of procedures, techniques, and efficient strategies of human resources management and labor law with special emphasis on EEO, AAP, FLSA, OSHA, ADA, ADAAA, and FMLA, among others.
