Job Summary
ACCO Brands is seeking a Graphic Designer who will play a pivotal role in the design and development of products for the Consumer & Office Products division. In this role, you will balance individual creativity, good packaging/typography and fashion industry trend knowledge that result in products that best meet the needs of our consumers.
Responsibilities
- Works independently or with Art Director to create design concepts for multiple products including product, packaging, collateral and merchandising
- Generate accurate digital files for all assigned products
- Manage products and work efficiently in a deadline driven environment
- Track status of each project
- Ensure projects go to print error-free and meet all specifications
- Render 3-D product designs for presentation and packaging purposes
- Proactively studies and evaluates current fashion trends and appropriately incorporates trends into assigned design projects
- Occasional opportunities to act as lead on special projects/product lines
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years minimum experience required
- Strong communicator with ability to champion ideas
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign with strong production / prepress skills
- Ability to manage projects from conception through completion, following established processes ensuring projects go to print error-free and meet specifications
- Proven ability to execute work that is in line with established standards and aligned to specifications, adapting as requirements shift
- Comfortable accepting feedback and making revisions
- Self-motivated with a keen enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding current fashion trends and ability to incorporate trends into projects
- Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently in a deadline driven environment
- Creative problem solver who is to apply sound logic yet be comfortable making decisions and resolving challenges/questions with little information, where needed
