Puget Sound Signs & Graphics, a custom sign making business located in Renton, WA, is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join the team.

Puget Sound Signs & Graphics has been providing custom sign design, fabrication, and installation to the Greater Seattle area since 2013. Puget Sound Signs is a family-owned business located in Renton, Washington just outside of Seattle, Washington. We are a growing sign and graphics company with local, regional, and national accounts. We are looking to expand team with the appropriate individual who genuinely cares about customers, collaborates well with team members, and who takes pride in their work.

Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for generating high quality and on-time graphic designs for customer projects as well as developing marketing collateral and communicating with customers on a routine basis via websites, social media, and newsletters.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of graphic design and marketing experience.

Preferred Experience: Sign experience, engineering experience, understanding of substrates and materials commonly used in signage, wide format printing, and/or metal fabrication industries.

Job Duties

Design & Customer Relations

• High quality and on time workmanship
• Professional, courteous, and on-time communications with customers
• Follow up with customers throughout Design cycle.
• Efficient and Effective Designs meeting due dates in Core Bridge.
• High quality design mockups used for pricing.
• Complete permit applications when required.
• Follow up on pending permit applications to ensure customer timelines are met.

Maintaining systems

• Update information hourly/daily in production systems
• Maintain files and revision documents on server.

Marketing

• Create monthly newsletter and Blog articles.
• Share completed projects on social media.
• Develop marketing collateral to support Sales Team.
• Maintain company website.
• Create Company brand standards and marketing materials.

Design Team Leadership

• Serve as a go-to designer when team members have questions and/or need coaching on design technics, processes or business protocols.
• Help set design standards for design team to create efficient practices.
• Review, implement, document – sign design best practices and standards.

Production

• Help in production and installation on an as needed basis.
• Demonstrate safe work practices.
• Safe driving practices, hand free use of phone
• Meet quality, service, and performance standards.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace

Teamwork

• Cooperation amongst team members
• Providing insight and best practices to improve processes.
• Help out when needed to ensure smooth operations.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary and Benefits

This is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time position reporting to the Project Manager.

The salary range is $22.00 per hour ($45,760 annually) to $25.00 per hour ($52,000 annually) plus up to 5% of salary in bonuses.
