Job Summary

The Graphic Designer creates visual text and imagery concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers via advertising, logos, posters, digital ads, emails, social media and website platforms. The Designer transforms complicated, statistical data into visuals and graphics, making complex ideas more accessible. Under the guidance of Division of SCER leadership, the Designer creates and presents their concepts, revises artwork as needed and produces final files that are compatible with print and/or digital production specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience including:Experience in working with print vendors and familiar with printing processes.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite for production of print graphics and digital imagery.
Experience with design techniques and principles, including typography and color theory.
A robust portfolio of work demonstrating previous design and client experience, including the development of creative marketing materials and content.

A relevant combination of experience, training, and education may be substituted for a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Web design and social media content creation.
  • CRM experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Highly developed client facing communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite are required.
  • Front-end Web/interactive design experience.
  • Fluency with Mac and PC platforms and knowledge of different browser capabilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Impeccable creativity and originality in concepting skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Ability to present ideas visually, verbally, and in writing.
  • Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve programs and processes that drive results.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of CSS and HTML formatting
