The role

Are you passionate about bringing compelling stories to life through engaging design? We are. In fact, we believe in it so much that we are seeking a seasoned graphic designer to help bring the visual aesthetics of our brand to life.

As the Graphic Designer within Creative Services, you are part of the Brand, Marketing and Communications team. This team of highly collaborative global professionals works closely with our Business Units, Chief Commercial Office, Human Resources and other departments to grow the reputation and awareness of Unisys and to execute strategies that support business priorities.

This is a remote role. The Graphic Designer will report to the Head of Creative Strategy.

What success looks like

In this role, you will produce creative design solutions that promote our brand through the creation of high-quality design work across multiple mediums. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of graphic design for print and digital applications, visual styles and layout techniques. Design thinking and experience executing marketing projects from conception to production is required, including the design of digital assets for social media and websites, brochures, event displays, presentations, sales collateral and corporate communications.

Responsibilities

• Execute all assigned design projects, from conception to delivery
• Design original concepts, produce templates and infographics
• Execute quality control for all assigned projects
• Create and refine layouts and images using graphic design software
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects
• Apply design techniques that extend brand elements within the guidelines
• Generate graphic ideas to portray concepts that highlight the Unisys brand and its solutions
• Listen to design needs, develop ideas into concepts
• Collaborate to support senior designers, art directors, content leaders and digital team members
• Organize final design assets
• Maintain high standards of quality to ensure only the best work is released
• Stay current with industry standards, trends and tools

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications or relevant field
• 2-5 years of experience as a graphic designer and/or production specialist
• Portfolio of completed design projects
• High energy level and can-do spirit, with passion and enthusiasm that engages others
• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and timelines
• Ability to work on PC or Mac platform
• Hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Acrobat
• Hands-on experience using Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
• Strong visual aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
• Attention to visual composition details
• Ability to collaborate with a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast- paced, dynamic and matrixed professional services structure
  

Work location and schedule

The Graphic Designer will work remotely 8am-5pm, Eastern or Central time.
