POSITION INFORMATION:

• The Greeter is one of the most important positions in the dealership. The Greeter is responsible for greeting customers promptly and with a proper, professional greeting. If the greeting is not completed professionally we cannot recover from a poor first impression of our dealership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers promptly with a professional welcome and smile. Maintain eye contact during the greeting.
• If a husband and wife (with children) come, greet the wife first but make it a point to get everyone in the family’s name.
• Log the customer’s name and let them know you are the host(ess).
• Introduce the salesperson in the rotation (who should be in close proximity to you) to the customers.
• Load the partial information into ADP CRM.
• If it is very busy and you are the only person here, it is more important to greet additional customers if they arrive at the same time.
• If the customer asks for a particular salesperson, please direct them to that salesperson. If that salesperson is not available, then the salesperson in the rotation is to assist them. It will not count against the salesperson so the minute he has finished with the customer, the salesperson will be back up in the rotation.
• Record each and every customer into ADP CRM. It will be the manager’s responsibility to decide if they are a customer or not.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to use computer. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is performed on the sales floor. The time spent greeting on the sale floor will require standing.
