Grill Cook Job at Zanti Cucina Italiana Trattoria
We are looking for grill cook to be part of our Back of the House Team
Main purpose of the job:
As a grill cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards, prepare the culinary preparations according to the recipes indicated, using the techniques, type, quality, and quantity of ingredients required, as well as the equipment and utensils, based on the quality standards and procedures of the company, the current sanitary regulations and the systems of food hygiene management that set international standards to contribute to the achievement of service objectives.
Candidate profile:
At least 1 year working in the kitchen, in food handling/prepping/line work; cooking food items by grilling, frying, sauteing and other cooking methods. Knowledge and experience with Italian food is desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar job position (grill station).
- Prepares, seasons and cook meats and vegetables using skill in frying, grilling, and sautéing.
- Prepares, seasons and cook starches, vegetables, and other side hot food items.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Properly execute all recipe procedures
- Prepare a variety of foods with different methods of preparation
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Complete assigned prep work to stock and set-up stations
- Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification
