We’re looking for an amazing Guest Hotel Fulfillment Specialist to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for finalizing guest hotel reservations requested by clients through the reservation system. This position is responsible for securing any last-minute hotel needs required by the company for irregular operations or to recover customer service issues. This includes monitoring bookings to request additional space and clear waitlists in a timely manner and releasing space to prevent financial penalties. This position will also report on sales and provide feedback to commercial teams to improve the product offering and improve revenue.

Responsibilities
- Guest Hotel inventory management – monitor sales levels and at the appropriate times request additional rooms from hotels, seeking new/different hotels as needed, or release unnecessary rooms to avoid financial penalties or paying for unused rooms.
- Guest Hotel manifesting – responsible for compiling accurate and timely manifests of guests and sending them to hotels. Automation should be developed to improve productivity.
- Clearing waitlists – work within agreed service level agreements with each brand to clear waitlisted guests wanting hotels that have reached their selling capacity. This may involve securing additional rooms at new/different hotels that maintains the company’s expected profitability.
- Resolve customer service issues – partner with customer service teams to ensure that any issues with guest hotels are resolved through direct communication with the hotel. Also, use hotel availability to resolve unrelated customer service issues.
- Generate sales reports – provide all stakeholders with updated views of sales, and then collaborate on pricing and marketing strategies to maximize revenue.
- Ship incidents – secure large hotel blocks as needed to support irregular ship operations as they arise.
- Crew hotel needs – check in with Crew Travel team to see where any overlap between guest hotel space and crew hotel space can be combined to reduce company costs.
Requirements
- Business Administration or Hospitality management experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in travel management,hotel or analysis work
- Proven track record in operational responsibilities
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Understanding of document sharing tools such as through Sharepoint and Teams.
- Able to work independently
- Experience with engaging with hotels or travel operators in multiple global locations
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

- Base Hourly Range: $15.91 to $21.49. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
