Hegira Health, Inc. (HHI), a private non-profit corporation, is one of the largest freestanding behavioral healthcare agencies in the area. HHI, accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Michigan, provides a broad array of mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals of all ages.

The Technician provides all areas of maintenance and repair to our facilities in Canton, Inkster, Lincoln Park, Livonia, Taylor and Westland. The core hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm noting there may be be days when additional time is needed to complete the work or a project.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Significant experience in general maintenance, repairs and renovation work for commercial buildings.
• Skills in electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry trades.
• Own vehicle suitable to perform functions of job at multiple facilities.
• A good driving record as defined by company policy policy.
• Own tools needed to perform job responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Complete limited construction/renovation projects at the hours required by the location so as to not interfere with business.
• Assist with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
• Painting, either interior or exterior.
• Complete plumbing, piping and augering as needed.
• Repair and/or replace door handsets, hinges, locks and closers.
• Repair, maintain and/or replace rest room fixtures and accessories as well as hot water systems, garbage disposals and drinking fountains.
• Repair, assemble and deliver furniture items.
• Check, test and repair all types of emergency light fixtures.
• Install, repair, update and maintain outlets, light fixtures and light sensors both interior and exterior.
• Clean HVAC supply vents and light lens.
• Complete minor repairs to the parking lot surfaces and curbing.
• Install, wall art, notices, clocks, dry erase boards, bulletin boards, etc. with designated security hardware.
