Overview:

Trinity Arch Prep School for Boys is a new, intentionally small independent school with a mission to deliver a purposeful and personalized educational experience that supports each of our boys to become a young man of character. We want our graduates to be ready and fit to succeed in the next stage of their education and beyond. We want them ultimately to thrive in a world which expects them to be men of principle who are fluent in both traditional values and contemporary competencies. Our ethos is based on Christian principles but is open to students, families and staff of all faiths. We are seeking an outstanding person who shares our Founder's unique vision for the education of boys to join us as our Founding Head of School. The Head of School will lead the daily life of the school towards the fulfilment of our shared vision for Trinity Arch Prep. The Head of School will work collaboratively with a team of educators to oversee and develop a small instructional staff of a senior teacher, tutor-fellows and an athletic coach. The successful candidate will be a distinctive and energetic educational leader with specific expertise in learning design, pastoral care and social entrepreneurship. This is a full-time position starting in July 2023.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Founder and Director of Education to:

· Develop and implement the educational framework, policies and procedures of Trinity Arch Prep

· Monitor, evaluate and improve the effectiveness and quality of experience of the educational programs and operations of the school

· Foster a culture of collaboration and professional growth among the instructional staff that supports the mission and vision of Trinity Arch Prep

· Build and maintain positive relationships with Trinity Arch Prep famiiles, community partners, and other stakeholders

2. Lead a Learning Team of Senior Teachers and Tutor Fellows to:

· Design and deliver instruction that delivers personalized mastery-based learning and active experiential team-based inquiry learning experiences to every student in four academic strands:

· STEM: Mathematics, Science, Design, Engineering

· Humanities: History, Literature, Religion, Politics

· Arts: Music, Drama, Dance, Visual Arts

· Business: Geography, Commerce, Communications, Leadership and Management

· Implement and oversee strong pastoral care, fellowship, personal reflection and co-curricular programs that support the development of boys into young men of character

· Ensure a technologically rich environment which prioritizes self-paced, self-determined learning enabled by anywhere, any time in-class, and online learning systems

· Build local, regional and global partnerships with the broader school community that enable the integration of a range of expeditions, enterprise projects and workshops within school life

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in education or a related field with 5-10 years of experience of teaching and leadership in an educational setting with diverse student populations

· A passion for education matched by a commitment to helping boys succeed through today’s learning for tomorrow’s world

· Excellent leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with others

· Ability to work independently, think creatively, solve problems and make decisions with limited supervision

· This is a 12 month position with a four week paid summer break in addition to six weeks of school holidays during the school year (more than traditional schools)
