Job Description Summary:
The Product Development Consultant will support the development and implementation of the health plan product portfolio for OhioHealthy Medical Plan, a provider-owned health insurance company in Central Ohio owned and operated by OhioHealth Corp. The Product Development Consultant works closely with Product Design, Plan Administration and Operational partners to ensure plans design comply with state and federal requirements; and support the annual filing submission.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Evaluates existing products, competitor, and industry data to improve existing products and make recommendations for new products
Coordinates presentation, communication and implementation of all phases of product development.
Create product recommendations for provider-owned health insurance company based on competitive analysis, corporate strategy, and local mandates
Responsible for coordinating with marketing on the design of materials of new products and existing market/product lines
Provides RFP proposal support
Effectively communicate and build relationships with both internal and external partners.
Knowledge of Commercial Line(s) of Business (Individual/ Small Group, Large Group).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's DegreeMUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN HEALTH PLANS/ MEDICAL PLANS
Solid knowledge of Medical, Dental, and ancillary products
Solid understanding CMS process and filing requirements, terminology, and environment
