The Healthcare Representative act as advocates meeting with patients and their families daily. They are responsible for tracking every application they receive and obtaining high rates of successful outcomes. This position is full-time, Tuesday - Saturday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends. Our office is located at Albany Medical Center - Albany, NY.

Primary Responsibilities:

• 
  Interviewing clients in a hospital setting and/or home visits to assist them in obtaining maximum benefit coverage.
• 
  Completing application for state and federal programs, reviewing medical records and taking all actions necessary to expedite benefit approval.
• 
  May be responsibility for maintaining ongoing communications with government agencies regarding the status of claims.
• 
  Provide updates and assistance to hospital personnel and other staff as needed.
• 
  Maintain documentation of status of claims and client contact on Change Healthcare computer system.
• 
  Other responsibilities that are customer specific.
• 
  Knowledge of state and federal programs.
• 
  Assisting with mentorship opportunities and team trainings.
• 
  Pull daily referral reports.
• 
  Responsible for internal reporting.
• 
  Developing knowledge of more complex claims (for example; out of state).
• 
  Ability to float to different facilities if needed.
• 
  Assist with customer meetings when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 
  High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• 
  1+ years of relevant hospital and healthcare experience
• 
  Proficient with computer skills and tablet devices including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
• 
  Experience in Medical Patients interaction
• 
  Ability to work between 8:00am - 4:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday
•
