Job Purpose:

The position provides support to end users, dealers and customers on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, emails, personnel and customer requests for technical support. Analyzes and evaluates user needs to create robust system solutions that help support overall business operation. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Also assists the department with support of corporate computer systems and websites to conform to corporate guidelines, adhering to strict security controls.

Responsibility, Authority and Performance Standards:

- Desktop support of 3rdWave, New ERP system, All Microsoft and desktop software, Mac OS X, VOIP phone system and various other applications.

- Setup and maintains domain users and email addresses.

- Provide hard steady uptime of mission critical end user computer systems and peripherals.

- Running Daily Reports, tracking inventories – Excel parsing knowledge and Office merge skills.

- ODBC Knowledge Connectivity to Database - Special Knowledge of UPS Worldship, Fedex, Shipping applications – you will need to manage data backups and custom data maps.

- Knowledge of our Website ordering systems - Rothco.com, USAePay and all other related software.

- Troubleshoot all problems with PC’s, printers, phones and all other related equipment.

- Serve as first line of support for users and act as internal Help Desk. Track and monitor problems to insure a timely resolution.

- Deploy and manage antivirus solution for all devices connecting to our networks.

- Proactively maintain all PC hardware and software. Perform preventative maintenance, install upgrades, apply patches, run backups, do repairs, routine cleaning, etc.

- Manage and support remote workers, utilizing VPN & Remote Desktop software.

- Setup all new hardware and maintain inventory of equipment and service contracts.

- Contact outside vendor support services in a timely manner.

- Website administration and support where necessary.

- Provide telephone support to Rothco Online Dealers and customers when necessary.

- Provide structured training sessions for users.

- Automation of various repetitive tasks via scripting and other specialized tools.

- Act as liaison between users and technical staff/management in order to improve efficiencies across the entire organization.

- Assist the Director of Information Systems with various projects.

- Once a year attend a seminar/class related to your job responsibilities.

- Keep abreast of latest and emerging technologies; willingness to be an early adopter and test new systems.

- Maintain a desktop procedures manual of important system activities.

- Safeguard company confidential information.

- Verbally communicate with the Director of Information Systems issue escalation on an as needed basis and once a week in writing.

- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications / Special Skills:

- Requires a bachelor’s degree in related area and 2 - 4 years’ experience in related field.

- Knowledge of PC’s, networks, printers, related equipment, Microsoft Windows Workstation/Server and related software, Mac OS X a plus and Active Directory/Group Policy and Exchange structures.

- VOIP phone system technology.

- OpenVPN

- HTML and various internet browser technologies

- SQL reporting.

- PCI/Antivirus/Antimalware/Security Awareness platforms

- Security camera technology.

- Excellent people skills to be able to interface with users as well as technical people.

- Strong emphasis on teamwork, organizational and analytical skills.

- Ethical in any corporate situation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
