Lamoille Union High School seeks a dynamic educational leader who is passionate about the high school age group to serve as LUHS Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal helps to enhance the quality of student life in the high school by focusing on building an understanding of respectful behavior and restorative practices. LUHS is committed to student engagement and building a community of equity and inclusion.The Assistant Principal will oversee day-to-day disciplinary issues with the opportunity room staff and proactively and effectively communicate with parents while working closely with the school counselors, opportunity room staff, student support center, athletic director and the school leadership team to support students. They will also assist in investigations of hazing, harassment or bullying, enter disciplinary data into the student management system, act as a partner in student engagement and work to build a respectful community with a focus on equity and inclusion.Familiarity with MTSS, EST plans, data analysis, and restorative practices is desirable.Candidates should hold a current administrative license in the State of Vermont or be eligible for a provisional endorsement.
