Restaurant Description

The Watershed Pub prides itself on being a local and sustainable restaurant. The concept arose as we began to think about the impact of our region on the Susquehanna River Valley and Chesapeake Watershed. We want to showcase a menu, through the talents and creativity of our chefs, that is mindful of the impact and ongoing challenges the area contributes to the Bay.

The Role

As a prep cook you will be responsible for a variety of duties in the kitchen from stocking stations, preparing food for service, and cooking menu items per recipes. You will need to possess great ability to work in a team environment and cooperate with the kitchen staff. This position will report to the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef.

• Assisting with stocking and setting up kitchen stations
• Preparing food, including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
• Washing/ cleaning kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at the end of the shifts
• Ensuring the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
• Work closely with other passionate culinarians in a team environment
• Be creative with new ideas for menu items and specials
• Check in deliveries and put away in an organized and timely manner
• Follow prep list and recipes to set up the kitchen for success

What We Are Looking For

• Ability work mornings/ early afternoon, some weekends, and some holidays
• A minimum of 1-year professional cook-from-scratch kitchen experience (will consider without this experience if has good work history in kitchen)
• Possesses great knife skills
• Great teamwork/ communication skills and good attitude
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and ability to follow recipes
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to keep an organized and clean workspace
• Reliable and accountable
• Culinary School degree preferred by not required if experienced

The Watershed Pub sits in one of the oldest buildings in Camp Hill, dating back to at least the early 1800’s. Our mission is to couple the bounty from Central Pa’s sustainable growers and regionally, sustainably harvested seafood.
