The Homecare/DME Intake Specialist for Homecare is responsible for answering telephone calls, providing excellent patient service care via telephone for a Homecare division. All responsibility must be performed with the highest level of integrity and consistent with the company’s core values: Put People First, Work with an entrepreneurial spirit, Deliver Market Leading Performance. This position can be onsite at our Woodstone location or remote.

SOME OF WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Communication, Customer/Client Focus, Problem Solving/Analysis, Team Collaboration

• Answers high volume of calls, transfers and directs calls accordingly, provides exceptional customer service via telephone.
• Responsible for all patient coordination for both home care and durable medical equipment (DME).
• Serve as the initial contact to obtain patient demographics, type of referral and type of insurance.
• Communicates all information to the pharmacy, clinical team managers, respiratory and home medical equipment personnel.
• Responsible for the verification of benefits and eligibility.
• Submit authorization and data entry into the Home Health Systems.
• Communicates clearly and effectively (both oral and written) with patients, clients, Team Members, peers and Leadership.
• Accurately inputs data into both Carenet and client databases.
• Answers all inquiries from patients, customers and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Homecare and DME Intake Experience required
• Customer and healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual skills favored.
• Solid PC skills, Microsoft Office Suite
