Schedule: Part Time, 20 hours per week

Shift: Days Mon-Fri

The role you’ll contribute:

The Receptionist provides general clerical support for the daily activities of all Hospice of the Comforter departments including answering phones, greeting guests, assisting with mail, and other clerical tasks


The value you’ll bring to the team:

Operates multi-line phone system for Hospice of the Comforter on a daily basis. (70%)

  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines needs of callers and forwards calls to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Receives and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Answers questions about Hospice of the Comforter, providing callers with addresses, directions, and other basic information.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitors visitor access and issues visitor badges/passes when required.
  • Receives, sorts and routes mail and maintains and routes publications.
  • Assists in the training of other Receptionists as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities (25%)

  • Makes photocopies and sends faxes of department materials as needed.
  • Maintains and updates necessary files and tracking logs.
  • Proof-reads documents as needed.
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months related administrative or clerical experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) in business or related field is preferred.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
