Hospitalist-Nocturnist Job at Mount Sinai Health System
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with Elmhurst Hospital Center, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, has an exciting opportunity for a full time Hospitalist-Nocturnist to join as faculty on or about June 1 of this year.
Responsibilities include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of residents and mid-level Providers. The position is a hybrid with approximately 8 weeks of night coverage. Day responsibilities will include a mix of coverage for the teaching, non-teaching and medical consult service-in proportions that optimize the skill-set of the physician. Day hours are traditional Monday-Friday with some weekend coverage.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in public health, quality improvement and education. There are many opportunities for professional development and future movement into leadership positions.
The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidates must have an MD degree and be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
