About the role...
The bartender position will offer friendly and efficient tableside service to all guests within our LEGOLAND Florida Resort Hotels. Take guest orders and ensure that all items are served properly and on a timely basis. Assist in the set up and clear down of the front and back of house restaurants operation. Follow the LEGOLAND Florida Resort safety, sanitations and cleanliness standards and policies. Pay rate is $9.00/hour plus tips.
What you’ll be doing...
- Provide guests with outstanding service going above and beyond in line with LEGOLAND and Merlin Standards
- Help develop and lead revenue generating initiatives and program in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Leadership Team
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene and Safety legislation requirements
- May work in multiple outlets with Special Events as well.
- Maintain high service standards with children as a primary focus.
- Work with our team members to provide a positive guest experience.
- Assist in the set up and clear down of tables and service stations within the front and back of house.
- Must follow all Florida laws and license restrictions governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in the Food & Beverage Department.
- Must be able to work in a very fast paced, multi task environment with extreme temperature changes.
- Must be able to work in both an indoor and outdoor, year-round environment with exposure to a variety of change weather conditions
- Assist in all aspects of the hotel are consistent with the LEGOLAND and Merlin Brand Image.
- Encourage upselling to increase profitability.
- Up to date on all park information including hours of operation, special events and pricing.
- Must have knowledge of, and be able to maintain cost of, goods in the bar areas.
- Will be key person responsible for all Loss Prevention items and training in bars.
- Must be able to accurately operate a POS ordering system and cash register and maintain all cash handling records on a daily basis.
- Will take full responsibility for all fund and tips handled as outlined in the LEGOLAND cash handling policy.
- Assist with Food & Beverage Leadership team to create menu concepts.
- Must understand and meet all guest expectations and have the ability to communicate clearly.
- Provides service to our guest in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
- May be responsible for taking, placing and serving orders in a section or multiple sections or areas.
Who we’re looking for...
2 years bartending experience preferred. Experience within a full service restaurant is preferred. Hotel Experience Preferred. This position requires a positive attitude, hospitable nature with a desire to give service on the highest possible level and the ability to work as part of the team. Knowledge of service and cash handling procedures in full service restaurants would also be beneficial.
