This position is for a evening/mid shift front desk supervisor. The days will mainly be FRIDAY/SATURDAY/SUNDAY/MONDAY 32-40 hours a week (12p-8p/3p-11p). You will be the manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager/Assistant General Manager. You will be responsible for yielding guest issues/complaints. Dates that you are scheduled you will be the first person responsible for calling any call offs for the front desk. This position does require previous hotel experience.
hotel front desk supervisor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations, including welcoming guests, taking their information, and selecting the rooms that suit their needs. The supervisor also communicates and guides other hotel staff members, provides extra services as requested by guests, and resolves any problems that guests might experience. The supervisor maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel, settles the register at the end of the workday, and reports directly to the general hotel manager. The supervisor also ensures that the front desk employees engage politely and attentively with guests, and coordinates guest arrivals and departures. The supervisor must remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other employees.
