We are a remote upscale luxury lodge located 60 miles NE of Juneau, AK. We are looking for motivated, honest, hardworking, and talented individuals who will take pride in their work.

This is a seasonal position with free room and board for the right applicant.

Housekeeping Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a customer-friendly and helpful disposition toward internal and external customers.
• Strip and remove dirty Lodge linens to collection points, after each guest stay and Remove waste to lodge dumpsters.
• Vacuum; dust, mop, and perform other general cleaning duties as assigned.
• Disinfect bathroom fixtures and counters, including mirrors, tubs, sinks and showers.
• Re-stock room and kitchen amenities.
• Re-make beds and restore rooms to Lodge housekeeping manager standards.
• Wash accessible windows inside and out
• Re-stock cleaning caddies in unit as needed and take inventory to give a report back to Lodge manager.
• Special detailing in Lodges include:
• Wipe down deck furniture
• Dust counters, baseboards, windowsills, furniture, picture frames, plants, etc.
• Move furniture to vacuum under it.
• Clean lobby and recreation area
• Set up any extra beds, towels, or other requests.
• Assist manager with other cleaning functions as assigned.

Qualifications

Must enjoy hospitality and service industry.

• Able to work independently
• Able to clearly communicate with co-workers, manager and owners
• Able to complete tasks on a schedule
• Outgoing and courteous with clients and staff
• Able to lift 50lbs and in good physical condition
• Be drug free and a non or very light drinker
• Able to live and work in a close environment with co-workers
• Have good organizational skills

The most important factors that we look for when hiring a person is a good attitude and a strong work ethic. If you aren’t willing to put in long hours, this is not the place for you. We expect good manners, good grooming and a professional appearance above reproach.
