Job Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the buildings on the properties. This position will work under the direction of the House Operations Manager to ensure each space is prepared for the Principles needs, as well as the needs of incoming guests and for special events. A proactive work ethic, strong interpersonal/communication skills, effective time management skills, and elevated attention to details are essential. The ability to work collaboratively as a team is also required.

Key Responsibilities
● Maintaining the cleanliness of all spaces. (Note: most buildings are 2 stories) Including, but not limited to:
○ Vacuuming, Moping. Hardwood & Carpet/Rug Care.
○ Dusting, polishing and caring for furniture, silver, marble, crystal and antique pieces.
○ Turning over guest spaces as needed. This will include remaking beds, laundering bedding and towels.
○ Organizing and maintaining linens, closets, cabinets, drawers
○ Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks.
○ Maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen area.
○ Washing accessible windows.

● Flexibility to help out with occasional evening or weekend events and run occasional errands locally.
○ Dry cleaning drop off and pick up, Grocery Store, Post Office etc.

● Assisting with household decorating for parties and holidays.

Required Skills/Abilities
● At least 3-5 years experience in housekeeping/house cleaning position
● Proactive personality and self-starter
● Ability to work independently on tasks and projects
● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
● Comfortable with working with texting, emails and online calendars (preferred team communication method)
● Drivers license & reliable vehicle

Location
This position is based in Sharon CT with ability to also travel as needed to Lakeville CT (7 miles) and possibly Wingdale NY (19 miles)
