Hello! Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a Housekeeper. As a statewide nonprofit serving seniors, families and children in need of support, we take a whole-person approach to our organization and delivery of our services — because we believe we must find the strengths in people and build on these for lasting change to occur.
When you join our team as a Housekeeper, you'll be part of a team who is committed to helping our seniors at the Livonia Campus. In this position, a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred and prior housekeeping experience is helpful, but not essential.
What you'll be doing:
- Indicates that this task is considered high risk for exposure to bio-hazardous materials. Standard Precautions must be followed in all job duties.
- Follow cleaning schedule abiding by Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling and cleaning agent use policies and procedures
- Clean assigned areas, toilets, sinks, mirrors, trash can, furnishings, and fixtures including furniture, floors, walls, sills, closets, and doors according to established housekeeping procedures
- Empty wastebaskets from both bathrooms and resident rooms, and common places as directed; replacing with clean plastic bag and one extra bag at the bottom of the wastebasket
- Clean general common areas, dining, office, and employee areas according to assignment schedule
- Assist with laundry duties as necessary
