Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is looking for a Housekeeping Aide to join our mission-driven team. We are a member of the Trinity Health Of New England family bringing compassionate care to our communities. This person is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, departments and other assigned areas.

Work Hours/Shift:

• 25 hours per week
• Evening Shift (5 PM- 10 PM)

You Will Be Responsible For :

• Exceptional Patient Care : Contributes to overall quality of care by performing required cleaning functions in assigned area.
• Excellent Communicator : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.
• Technical Familiarity: Executes proper cleaning procedures and demonstrates efficient, cost effective and safe use of housekeeping equipment
• Active Teamwork : Performs other special assignments as requested.

Requirements :

• Education : High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred; or one to three months’ related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Previous Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to retain on-job training.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English .
